Welcome to CentennialNeighbors.org!
The Centennial Neighbors Coalition was formed for a singular purpose: to foster public awareness of the I-25 & Arapahoe Road Interchange Project. More specifically, we wanted to make the residents of Walnut Hills, Hunter's Hill and Willow Creek aware that a key part of that project includes a proposal to build an underpass south of and parallel to Arapahoe Rd. This underpass would route traffic onto S. Yosemite St. or S. Alton Way, with the intent of easing the volume of traffic that flows through the Arapahoe Rd. interchange under I-25.
The only hope that we have as residents of those neighborhoods is to become involved in the political process and make certain that our voices are heard. Thus, the Centennial Neighbors Organization was formed to provide an organized means of participating in the process that will partially dictate the future of our neighborhood.
Centennial Neighbor's Missions Statement:
- Provide a centralized location for the dissemination of news and information about the interchange project and to provide a forum for feedback and the exchange of opinions regarding the project.
- Foster community involvement and encourage neighborhood residents to attend public meetings, communicate with their elected officials and most importantly, to stay engaged and involved in the public process so that we have a voice in the outcome of this proposal.
- Utilize the strength and credibility inherent in a grass-roots, citizen-based organization to express our collective opinions and exert our community influence to ensure that the best interests of our neighborhoods and property values are acknowledged, respected and acted upon.
If you are a resident of Walnut Hills, Hunter's Hill or Willow Creek or are otherwise affected by the interchange project, we urge to join the Centennial Neighbors Organization and become an active participant in the future of our neighborhoods.
